“Road to Galia", 06/2017

A photo series about anti-coal activists at the Hambacher Forst, wich is a prime ecosystem between Cologne and Aachen, Germany. It has grown there over a thousand years and is supposed to have completely disappeared in a few years, to make way for the largest brown-coal pile building in Central Europe powered by the energy concern RWE. For many years, people have been fighting against this profit-driven destruction of the area and the forest has been occupied by activists for five years, in order to prevent further uprooting.
